Information
We are an open university and community based track and field club. We serve students and greater Montreal area athletes ranging in age from 9 to Masters, who wish to train and or compete under the guidance of experienced coaches in all disciplines of track and field. Whether your goal is to become a top level athlete or simply to fulfill personal goals of a non-competitive nature, we can help you to maximize your potential.
Our mission is to provide a medium for developing youngsters, McGill students, staff and the Montreal community at large in the sport of track and field. We are affiliated with the governing body of track and field in the country, Athletics Canada, through our provincial branch, the Federation Quebecoise d’Athletisme.
Athletes will be able to compete in local, national and international competitions based on performance criteria. The club is also for those who wish to have a group to train with while being instructed on the technical and theoretical aspects of training so as to have a better experience in their chosen discipline(s).
Through our coaching staff we introduce athletes to technique and skill development in the proper mechanics of running. Athletes are grouped based on ability and are elevated depending on the pace of their progress.
